Exceptional Care One Person At A Time

We offer a large amount of services and care packages. Read below for more information about our standard services.

Grooming & Hygiene Guidance

CareBuilders at Homes goal is to assist our clients with their personal care routines so they can look and feel their best both in and out of the home. Studies show undeniable benefits for seniors’ self-esteem and emotional fitness to have regular hygiene and grooming. We are here to help clients who fear falling while bathing or have limitations that make bath-time difficult. We can assist with shampooing, shaving (with an electric shaver), hair combing and styling, and other grooming needs.

Transferring and Positioning

One of our top priorities is helping our clients move around their homes. This may include getting in and out of bed, chairs, and wheelchairs. Proper transferring and positioning can contribute to reducing bedsore risks. This also helps reduce muscle atrophy, while encouraging proper breathing and digestion. It can also lower the risk of falls and injuries, as well as keep our clients as comfortable as possible.

Nutrition & Meal Prep

Maintaining a nutritious diet impacts overall well-being, as well as decreases the likelihood of many common health conditions like heart disease and diabetes. For these reasons, many of our seniors have prescribed meal plans to which they must adhere for health reasons. Whether you seek help following a special diet or just want companionship in the kitchen, our caregivers can provide the food prep necessary for wholesome at-home meals. Our clients are welcomed to work alongside the caregiver to nurture conversation and a sense of accomplishment.
Caregivers join seniors for mealtime, taking advantage of the relaxed environment to forge natural friendships. The result? Eating will be both healthy and enjoyable.

Conversation and Companionship

Studies prove that seniors who stay socially engaged enjoy improved quality of life compared to their solitary counterparts. They also have a lower tendency to develop depression and general cognitive decline. Our caregivers provide seniors with conversation, mealtime companionship, and camaraderie during their favorite activities, all from the comfort of home. Our clients’ happiness is our ultimate goal!

Toileting and Incontinence Care

We understand the sensitive nature of toileting and incontinence care for our clients. Without proper help, seniors can face many issues. These may include skin infections, unpleasant odors, and general hygiene problems. Our caregivers offer compassionate, dignified help with these personal aspects of daily living.

Transportation

Being out and about benefits a senior’s mind, body, and spirit. It’s an integral part of CareBuilders at Home Interactive Caregiving. For older adults unable to drive, our caregivers provide transportation incidental to other services, such as medical appointments, barbershops, beauty salons, and shopping. Just about anywhere your senior wants to go, our caregivers can help them get there.

Laundry

Our caregivers can take care of all laundry needs, either in the home or at a nearby laundromat. These services may include washing, drying, ironing, and putting clean laundry away.

Medication Reminders

Although our caregivers cannot administer medications, they can assist in ensuring that clients take their medication as prescribed. Our caregivers can help with opening medication containers, reading labels, and reminding the client when it is time for the next dose.

Grocery Shopping/Errands

Getting around can be difficult for seniors, especially if they are unable to drive. Our caregivers take care of this problem by running around for you. This can include grocery shopping and other errands, such as stopping at the pharmacy or post office. Your loved ones are welcome to stay home or come along for the ride to stay active.

Light Housekeeping

Our caregivers are available to provide light housekeeping. Our services include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms (sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets), cleaning kitchens (sinks, appliances, counters, and taking out the trash), straightening all rooms, organizing closets and drawers, and cleaning any interior windows reachable without a ladder.

There is a wide array of reasons 24-hour care is needed. At CareBuilders at Home we pride ourselves in understanding the specific needs of those we always serve and make every effort to match the right caregiver to our clients with the goal of establishing long term relationships and best quality of care. Our in-home assessments and tailored care plans give our clients peace of mind knowing love is in the care and keeping them home where they want to be is our priority and end goal.

Short Term Care

Respite care refers to short-term, temporary care provided to someone who needs assistance so that a family caregiver can take a break from the daily routine, challenges and stress of caring for an aging adult. Respite is often referred to as the gift of time.

Respite services may involve overnight care for an extended period of time such as when the caregiver’s family takes a vacation. Or respite care can be for just a few hours a day or week to give the caregiver some time off to take a break, exercise, conduct personal business or even visit with friends.
“Respite care allows family caregivers some time away, while knowing that their relative is getting the care and companionship he or she needs,” says agency owner Brenda C. Ouellette.

There are many ways to de-stress as a caregiver. Surely you deserve a break. Call our office today to see how we can be of service for you and your loved one.

Transitional Services

These are care packages tailored for temporary care to get patients settled at home once released from the hospital or rehab facility.

What does it mean to you to be a caregiver at CBaH? You have to have patience, compassion, dependability and most importantly trustworthiness. We are given the privilege to become a part of someone’s life, to be there for them during a big chapter in life. To me that’s a honor to have and I’m proud of what I do here at CBaH.

What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Everything, I’ve always been a natural caregiver. I enjoy getting to know the client, just making their life easier so they have the comfort to stay at home. When I’m greeted with a smile every time, that’s how I know I am doing a great job and I that I love my job.
